Its Chinese New Year tonight in Shanghai and it must sound like Bagdad did when the Americans started there shock and awe campaign during one of the many gulf wars.
Impromptu fireworks displays are going off all over the neighborhood. Our own little display got rather interesting when a barrage of rockets tipped over and started firing at us.
Although some of the nicest moments have been seeing some paper tissue lanterns powered my metho soaked cotton wool floating past our apartment windows.
Today we essentially had the day off after a production meting. Last night our employer took us off to a thai restaurant where we had a totally open bar which led to may a hang over today.
Tomorrows another day off not sure whether I will veg or go for a trip into the country.
