About That Tiny Font...

I sorta kinda may have a little bit mentioned I met someone...

Well, after the pure jackassery from that meathead Rage followed by the moronically commitment-phobic Snow Ninja, Maverick is a delightful breath of fresh air. (He is so named because to me, he looks like a young Tom Cruise. He is also ...well...weird like me. And that's mavericky.)

Maverick Facts (or "Things I Like About "'The Mav'")
  • He is [non-practicing] Jewish (not that I like that he's non-practicing. I just like that he's not religiously militant)
  • He is Daddy to an adorable six year old boy (I may call him CAMbro...)
  • No drama with the baby mama (he doesn't like her, sure, but there's no malice at ALL when he speaks of her)
  • He has a good job (creepy - he delivers caskets! [trivia: he delivered James Gandolfini's])
  • He's VERY into cars (owns a couple, fixes them up, likes car shows, that sort of thing)
  • He likes games (Munchkin, Cards Against Humanity, Elder Sign...this is fun! I'm a very big fan of games, but no one ever plays with me)
  • He has a GOOD relationship with his mother (both parents, actually)
  • He knows what an ampersand is (these things matter)
  • He is familiar with anime and WILLINGLY watches it with Squeaky (Awwww, YAY!!)
  • He LIKES my kids and our boys get along WELL
  • He likes my friends (the ones he's met so far) and they like him
  • He's clean, neat and organized
  • He doesn't smoke, do drugs or drink heavily
  • HE LIKES TO CUDDLE (Great merciful heavens, I have been blessed, the man likes to cuddle...)

Ok, I'll stop there for now.

Maverick Facts (or "Things I DO NOT Like About "'The Mav'")

  • Yeah, so far, nothing.

I'm waiting for the shoe to drop but...*shrug*

Over the weekend, he made it clear that he was not seeing anyone else and preferred if I wasn't, either. He said he wanted us to be exclusive...and I agreed.

Last night, as we were cuddling, I commented how much I was enjoying it and he said, "yeah, I want to do this for the next few...decades."

    I was speechless.

I said, "did you hear what you just said?"

He laughed and said, "I was here. I heard it."

I said, "well, did you think about that first? I mean, was that something you've thought about or did you just say that because it fit nicely into the flow of our conversation?"

AND HE SAID HE HAD THOUGHT ABOUT IT.

    Good grief.

Now I just have to work on not panicking and bolting because this feels so right...
