Change of style

Jan 31, 2011 14:25

My last solution to the hair-I-can-just-about-sit-on problem was to trim the ends, dye it blue, and ultimately chop it off shorter.

This time around, I'm looking for a more professional style (i.e. no unnatural colors) that is still below my shoulders after my Locks of Love donation (no problem there - I could probably do 2 donations at the moment). I am a lazy morning person, so I don't want to roll out of bed and spend an hour doing my hair to get it to look decent. However, I don't want it to just hang there any more, or end up pulled back into a bun out of frustration.

My hair is thick and stick straight and about as dark as a white woman's hair gets. (Yes, I think ethnicity makes a big difference in hair color. My asian friends with black hair have a much darker black than mine.)

Here are some more recent pix of my hair:

Any suggestions for style hunting? Are there any good websites for "trying on" different looks?

I don't know whether there are any better charities for hair donation than LoL. Has anyone researched this?
Note: I know someone with alopecia, so donating for that cause is actually dearer to my heart than cancer.
