This will be my last confession, 'I love you' never felt like any blessing
Whispering like it's a secret
Only to condemn the one who hears it
With a heavy heart

Misty clouds hover over the tall buildings and masked the once very blue sky. No sunlight was seen, no ounce of warmth escaped and the thick fog blinded his clear vision.
He was concealed into this tight seal surrounded by strange atmosphere known as misery mixed with a certain type of loneliness he wasn't used too.

Nate grabbed his cellphone and let the glow coming off the screen irritated his eyes until they adjust to the lighting. Then his deep cerulean eyes gaze over the long list of contacts in his phone book for two minutes. However as the list seem longer than predicted there wasn't a single person that he felt he could talk too. His mind was twisted and jumbled like a puzzle missing parts, and it felt like there was no one that can help him fix it.

He was the famous Golden Boy. What can he be so depressed about? With one smile and a wink even your grandmother would fall in love with him. His father taught him very well how to be likeable since it was helpful in the future if he wanted to make connections. Professional or personal.

There was never a bad word that escaped from someone's lips whenever Nathaniel Archibald was the topic. He was perfect in any shape or form, even Michelangelo couldn't craft a statue in that boy's image. When people see Nate they see a gold mantel, something put up for everyone to see and admire.

But all Nate sees when his reflection glares back at him is nothing. What's so amazing about him that people get tongue twisted and stunned. He's not that smart, the majority of the people he meets only know him because he's part of the Van der bilt blood line and he hasn't accomplish anything great (if beating Call of Duty in a week is an accomplishment then give him his Nobel Peace Prize).

He shuffle again wrapped in an infinite amount of covers only to wake up Dan who was sleeping right next to him.
Dan said sheepishly, "What time is it?"
"Noon."
A deep groan filled the room and by a slow pace, Dan sat up in the bed trying to locate where was the light switch. He gave up after a few seconds and look over, "Nate?"
"What?" His voice was supposed to sound irritated, however the touch of exasperation and sadness seeped out.
Instead of getting of his bed to make himself to eat, Dan remain at his spot. With one arm around Nate's waist and a light kiss on his temple. Dan could sense something was wrong with Nate.
"What do you like about me?" He asked.
"Is this a trick question? The ones when if I say the wrong thing you'll give me the silent treatment."
"I'm not a girl."
Dan got closer until his lips brushed against the shell of Nate's ear, "Every time I'm mad or worried out of my mind you always tried to make me laugh."
"Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be good enough for you..." Even in the darkness Nate could see Dan frowning. His voice sounds so different inside this developing darkness, its calm and low, not all over place and jittery.
"-and yet unlike others you never belittle me because where I come from or what I have. You seem like a dream that's to good too be true and I'm scared to wake up from it."
Nate closed his eyes, he let his inner frustration leave his body and let the warmth of his lover fill his empty shell.

I was a heavy heart to carry
But he never let me down
When he had me in his arms
My feet never touched the ground
