I've not "done" anything for Lent....given anything up, for example. But I have been thinking a lot recently about getting more disciplined in my reading. I read all the time, a mixture of fiction and non-fiction (currently reading a biography of Emma Hamilton, mistress of Lord Nelson) but read a shockingly small amount of theological work. And it's not that I don't have anything to read, it's more that reading, for me, is a relaxing past-time and I find that when I read theology, I have to engage my brain far too much.
So, as Lent seems a good time as any other to try and introduce some discipline, I'm going to make an attempt to expand my reading. And to start with, I have a book I bought last year at Greenbelt having heard the author speak, and I've been meaning to read it ever since. Who knows? I may even post some thoughts and musings on LJ as I work through the book.
