I'm off to London this evening to see Stephen Sondheim's "Merrily We Roll Along" at the Menier Chocolate Factory. I'm really looking forward to it as it's not a show I've seen before. Am going with two of the founders of the Stephen Sondheim Society so keenness and knowledge come as part of the package! Just listened to SS on Graham Norton's show on Radio 2 to get me on the mood. I was hoping to head into town early to do something nice but the weather is so gloomy - cold and wet - so I'm going to stay at home in the warm and head into town around 4pm to meet my friends for pre-show food.
The huge fence panel which separates my patio from the neighbour's garden came down in the wind on Thursday night so she is having to keep her two dogs out of her back garden until it's fixed. Fortunately, a friend at work recommended her step-dad, who came out this morning, gave me a reasonable quote and will fix it either on Monday or Wednesday. But, with that and my laptop dying, money is getting very tight and just before Christmas too. Oh well. Could be a lot worse, for sure.
