Slayathon Reportage and Nicholas Brendon

Yesterday, I went to the annual Slayathon event, which raises money for the Make A Wish Foundation. It entails 12 hours of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel goodness.

It's been a few years since I've been to one of these, and now that I was there again, I can't believe I didn't take the Saturday off each preceding year to come to this shindig. Or hootenany as it were.

Forgot to add in my initial report--you could get pennies during the event, and throw them at scenes you really loved or like.  Some of the eps watched were "Passion," "Something Blue" and "Sanctuary."  Not gonna lie--I threw pennies during the Spuffy scenes, but threw half a bag when Angel punched Buffy in the face.  Tarabull, I know.

There was talk of perhaps getting some other Buffy folks there to host, but apparently "some" cost too much...and "some" wouldn't even make donations.  Apparently, one actress who hardly does autographs, even spelled her name wrong on a few.  Lovely.  I'll also add that Seth Green sent in a donation for the auction--a pair of worn bunny slippers :p  Can't recall how much it went for, but it was cool that he FedExed it over.

Additionally, I'm still looking for fangirl/fanboy moment donations for the blog!  I realized that this page, initially started for my upcoming novel, is so much more than that.  I am a fangirl, and I have friends who geek out and squee over stuff just like me.  We write fan fic and meta and make vids, icons and banners, and we do it for all kinds of entertainment.  So yeah, I've evolved it a bit to a bigger picture beyond myself, and make posts accordingly.

My first donated fangirl moment will be up tomorrow.  Hope to see ya'll there.
