So what a day, what a day. It was car accident galore!
Right in front of my work on Katella Ave, there was a massive 2 car crash, more on it in a bit.
A silver car smashed into a black car. The black car was driven by a 53-year-old woman who works at the PacifiCare building across the wa street. The silver car was driven by a 60-70 year old man. He was traveling the wrong direction (into oncoming traffic) and traveling at about 70 mph (into oncoming traffic). This happened probably around 6am.
As a result, both cars are totalled, the black car's engine was completely smashed in, all the way to the windshield, but the winshield was only partly broken. The woman has some broken ribs and some other injuries, but should recover fine in the hospital. The man's car.....well you couldn't tell the back from the front it was smashed so bad. He was a fatality, at about 7am (I hear from coworkers) is when they covered him with the yellow blanket. Yes you could clearly see the yellow blanket from my desk.
CSI/CSU was there taking pictures.
The coroner came at about 9:40am, and he didn't leave until 10am. I heard that the man had been severed in half =(
They took away the 2 cars on 2 flatbed trucks probably around 11am. They had the oil and other fluids cleaned up by 11:45am. Its pretty cool watching the street sweeper make laps to scoop up the powder that they pour down.

- I heard from coworkers that there were 2 accidents on the 605 freeway, as a result, lots of people were late to work.
- At 7:30am (when work begins) there was an accident at our side driveway (the one I enter). It involved one of hte the girls from the vault. Apparently she broadsided anotehr another car.
- My mom tells me of a nasty accident that involved a flat-bed truck.
