Bicycle!
My husband and I just took a bike ride.
MARRIAGE
Nothing says classic marital bliss like going on a bike ride with your spouse. OK, you can probably think of a few things - but this measures right up there with going for a long walk for us. I always drag my feet to get out the door but have fun once I'm out there and get a huge kick from seeing my husbands big huge grin as we stroll or roll along together.
PLANT LIFE (and domestic animals)
Today we saw a cat in the thick of some shaded growth and figured we might be able to ID the shade loving plant to coax into growing next to our home.
Also - the leaves are already starting to fall from some trees and the black berries known out here as Marrionberries are starting to ripen. Folks on foot were picking handfulls off the trail we rode down.
LIVESTOCK
We saw horses and checked out really, really, really local beef. We'll need to call/visit for details next Friday when Matt gets off work and can visit during their crazy business hours of M-F 10am to 2pm. He'll have to hurry home after his 1/2 day to make it. But after that we can probably do most business over the phone, etc. And OMG would that be hella local beef (sadly the stuff probably needs to be taken further away to be butchered than our house since it's less than a quarter mile from our home).
