Yesterday was tough, i spent three hours or so trying to do two simple tasks which I probably could have done in 15 minutes if I hadn't been too proud to ask someone for help. Off to Macclesfiled this afternoon. Got to go and get some last minute things, you know: big post its, nice envelopes, shampoo. All the things one needs for a sucessful residential event. On my way home from Moseley folk. I like Moseley. I wish I still lived 20 mins walk away from the folk festival. As it is, I have to be on this train for an hour and 40 minutes. Then, when I wake up at the other end, sleepy and stupid and forgetting that I need milk and crunchy nut cornflakes, I have the 20 minute stagger to my flat still to do. ( Read more... )

I spent easter week at the Jesuit provincial meeting. Every two years all the Jesuits in Britain get together, tell each other what they are up to, hear from their provincial (the head Jesuit for Britain), pray and…er… hang out in the bar together. I was there to tell them what I was up to in their name and learn more about them.

James and I travelled to London on Monday to meet with our chair of trustees. We went to Jesuit HQ in Mayfair to meet with the Jesuit Webmaster. He was more endearing than actively helpful but it was nice to meet him. One of my volunteers in Glasgow has gone AWOL to join the Army (yes AWOL to join the Army). It's very strange.
