Bought two volumes of Vassalord today. Success. Then proceeded to read chapter one, complete with violence and gratuitous shirtless Rayflo instead of listening to my lecture. More success. I do wonder what the people behind me thought...probably that Rayflo was a sexay beast. XD ( Read more... )

curiosity..., hot is hot, ficcy fic, twisted/delicious, anime/manga

Don't worry, I'm getting to your quote. I also need to put up what the guy at the shop said after I said I wasn't going to have any money...was it 'who needs food when you have yaoi'? Something like that?

Well, we've sort of had it in the past. Our conversation today centred more around incest, so I understand why you'd be confused. :p

Rayflo in the shower was so hot it nearly set my notes alight. Screw Cherry in there with him, *I* want to be in there with him. XD Actually, Cherry can come too...

*yells obnoxiously* THREESOME!

XD

I like het and shoujo-ai, as well, but the selling point for me in any pairing is that I can see them work, in my mind. Dynamics and possible canon relations sometimes play a part in that; other times, not, since my OTP are 3000 years apart. XD I think sex between any combination of the genders is hot sooo it is certainly not because two men kissing is hot. Even though it is glorious.

Thanks :) I agree that sex between any combination of genders can be hot. I suppose I just tend to find, for me personally, relationships between two guys tend to be a touch more interesting in my fandoms. I don't know. I think perhaps it's that it feel like a bit more of a challenge, and there's usually a lot of emotion and issues to work through.

It always feels so good to find other people in real life who like yaoi.

And as for shounen-ai/yaoi (shoujo-ai too), it reflects something I see as normal (homosexual love; not rim-ripping acts of endurance XD). And because it's manga, people don't wuestion its weirdness further. Bugger, dinner time.

LOL at the acts of endurance. There is a bit of that going round. Sometimes I read fic and think 0_o, that is probably not actually possible...

Yeah, I see it as totally normal too. It interests me that there's so much of it in manga and anime (not just in a fandom sense, but in a canonical sense as well), and very little in mainstream lit/graphic novels. Or at least, in my experience there's very little. Maybe it's a cultural thing. *ponders*

At the rate some of those guys go, they should all have tied for gold at Beijing last year.

And yes, it is rather hard to find homosexuality in mainstream stuff when you compare it to manga and anime. It's disappointing; if I want to read a love story albeit with a couple in it, well there's nothing unless you go over and furtively place your order with the most ignorant of the bookshop staff (of course I could make it easier on myself by not ordering such books while in school uniform, but hey).

Ah shit I forgot to put 'gay' in front of couple. Unfortunately for bestiality, man and goat isn't a couple I'd support.

*cries*

I'm still desperate to buy them. So saying that you did is just mean. As for the plot clearly I really have to buy them because as you know, the scanlated plot is a bit weird.

Aw *pats soothingly on the head* Still no luck finding them then? If I had the time, I'd go through the scanlation I have and replace it with the actualy dialogue from the volume just for you. But I don't think I will. Torts reading ate my mind and my free time. Though you never know.

Nope. And I tried checking for places on the internet but anything that came up was years old. I'm debating begging my sister to buy them for me while she's in the US. That may work, even if she's on a school tour...

How cruel -> suggesting that then taking it away. XDD ♥

I want to hear all about how much you love me. XD

This is only the first few pages, but hopefully I'll be able to do a few more for you every day. I'm sorry I can't do it all at once.

*ponders* I wonder if I should post it somewhere for other people as well...I'm just a bit concerned the original scanlators would get narky...

Let me know if there's anything wrong, my brain function is not at optimum level atm, so I may have made some hideous error. :S

I now have the urge to write large quantities of Vassalord fic exploring the intricacies of the physical and emotional relationship between Charley/Cherry and Rayflo. In detail. At length. Quite descriptively. XD

DO IT DO IT DO IT.

As for shonen/shoujo-ai, I like it like I like all my other manga: with plot or with the vague semblances of plot, a la Vassalord xD. I don't buy real porny stuff because there's hardly anything really porny with real plot out so I just read that stuff on the internet. But I'm usually disappointed if I read something that was just pure porn unless it was a doujin that I was specifically looking for or something. so idk. It's the dynamics and the characters and the relationships and it's hot. but that's how het and gen stuff rolls for me too. haha.

I would do it but...my writing ability eloped with my sanity and I haven't seen them since.

*tries to lure them back with cookies*

Mmm, I agree on the issue of porn/plot. Whenever I read stuff that is just porn I end up getting irritated with it and stopping. It just seems so pointless. I sit there thinking 'nothing's happening...well...nothing other than *that*' :p

Yellow would be one of my favourite blends of porn and plot. So much pretty. *goes all dreamy*

XD

Whaaaat, you don't need sanity to write. Or writing ability.

Most of the porn I read is doujinshi. I think the only real porny sort of thing I've read lately is Junjou Romantica. eh.

LOL, well, sanity probably not, but I'd like my writing ability back plzthx. If only so I can write the essays I have due...

Junjou manga is too porny for me. *is so ashamed* I LOVE the anime so much, but the manga just doesn't do it for me.
