Today at work I have the pleasure of watching Mr. T's infomercial for the "Flavorwave Turbo" oven. Frankly folks...I'm sold. Mr. T is ADORABLE!!! He's like an old "toughguy" with a heart. He says cute things like "how you gonna cook them french fries without oil!!?!" And he tries to sound all mean, but really he'll just make your heart melt with his special convection cooking method.
This is what Sundays are made for.
So...We're still waiting for Conrad to show up. I'm 37 weeks. We were able to get so much of our stuff moved this weekend that I finally feel like we can relax and have this kid already!!! We have the majority of his room set up...We have all of our big stuff in our new house...It's shaping up anyway! Here is a picture of Conrad's room:
Here is a picture of Michael putting Conrad's drawers together:
Michael has been a freaking rockstar. He goes to work all day, then goes to school all night (getting some of the highest grades in his classes!) and when he gets out of school, we'll move carloads to the new house and put stuff together until late at night, just to do it all over again the next day. Well...he has to do all of the hard stuff since I can't bend and lift. He really has been amazing. I will stop bragging now...but he's dealt with all of this pretty much on his own in addition to having to put up with my late pregnancy issues. I love this boy.
Oh yeah! Our new neighbor has a pet opossum named Little Orphan Annie!!!
She is soooo cute and tame. Her mom was killed when she was born 24 weeks ago :( There were 14 babies in the litter and only 4 made it. My neighbor, Gary, adopted her and she just lets him carry her around and she'll put her head on his shoulder and snuggle! He mows the lawn and she just sleeps around his neck!!! She uses a litter box just like a kitty! I am so enthused about this, if you couldn't tell. He also has a sweet dog named Abigail. She and Mamie like to talk to eachother through the fence.
This is a horrible picture Mamie. Her lips get caught on her underbite and she looks like she's really mean. Usually her mouth won't do this unless we tuck her lips over her teeth, but sometimes she can manage to do this on her own. She is in major need of braces!! I think there would be a major market for doggie orthadontists!!
The Friday before last, we had an ultrasound because the doctor was worried that the baby could be breech or transverse. He is just fine, head down...only he is measuring 2 or so weeks ahead of schedule!!! During the ultrasound he weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. I'm sure now he's 7 something if they gain an ounce a day. gah.
I know he would be 3 weeks early, but I just want him here really bad. If not for the obvious reasons, then to just get back to feeling physically "okay" again...or get a new pelvis.
