I guess I left off just before Scarborough Faire's last weekend.  We went on Saturday and stayed not much longer than it took to get my hair braided and make a quick howdy round.  It was hot and sticky and not much of any breeze and since we were planning to return determined there was no reason to stay and be uncomfortable.

I've had a wonderful birthday today.  Thanks to all who wished me well, it worked!  I was taken out both for breakfast and for our other meal.  In addition to getting wishes here, I got snail mail cards, email cards, and phone calls.  Wow!

Tomorrow we'll go to Scarborough Faire.  It is supposed to be cooler (70s vs 90s) so should be more pleasant.  ( Read more... )

Went out window shopping for counter top material and colors.  They appear to be endless...  Also went window shopping for hard surface flooring (no more wall-to-wall carpets), and there appear to be nearly as many choices for that.  Stopped at a few furniture stores to see what might be available in smaller scale pieces.  Discovered the choices ( Read more... )
