Youngish woman: My husband and I went to a go-kart place on Staten Island but they were closed for a wedding so we were driving around and saw a tattoo parlor, so we got tattoos instead.

A man on his cell phone was saying that he was staying at the Occident Hotel. He pronounced it "ossident." I corrected him under my breath as I walked by. Too bad I didn't have the courage to say it louder.
