What a fantastic weekend! Was my 24th on Friday and I awoke to a bed full of gifts from the 'children'. The cats and dogs had gone in halfsies to get me some new gym gear and Stint spoilt me with a fancy gym bag. I think he's slightly embaressed by the green woolies bag I usually cart my shoes in :)
Then yesterday we had an old fashioned party. Cooked way too much and had way too much beer; the upside is we are going to have a BBQ on AFL Grandfinal Day and we already have all the food & beer.
Perth has been fickle with her weather of late. One day it will be absolutely glorious, blue skies and in the mid twenties, the following day overcast with intermittant drizzle. Friday was perfect, Saturday was shit and today is a mixture of Friday and Saturday. Bring on Spring already.
Friday saw me take part in my first live footy match (Fremantle Dockers vs Melbourne Demons). Stint was able to score some corporate box tickets from a company he buys stuff from. At the beginning I was slightly pissed that I was spending my birthday at Subiaco Oval rather then at some restaurant eating overpriced food, and was lauging at all the idiot football supporters chanting 'Freo' over and over again and couldn't understand why the crowd couldn't just accept the umpires call. By half time I was pigging into the free food being delivered to us, swearing at the umpires for being blind and deaf morons who didn't know a football if it came up and slapped them in the rectum and chanting 'Freo' over and over again. I am a Bomber's supporter through and through, but seeming as they can't win a match and I live in WA, I have decided to be a Dockers supporter for next season (but only if they are playing someone other than Essendon)
School has been dragging on, only two more weeks until holidays. This year I've been involved in creating digital curriculum packages for distribution through WA. I have been given some time release to do this but I'm finding it quite demanding. We were all upgraded to the new MacBook Pro's to do all the work, but they have been less than accommodating to the work we need to do on them.
Well, that's about it little chickens.
Enjoy your week :)
Love and Peace and Strawberry Lollies!
Out.
