Ski Trip

Jul 13, 2006 14:57

Just arrived home from a week long Ski/Culture Tour to Canberra with 170 Year 9 students. I am absolutely shattered, one can only imagine the joys involved with chaperoning school tours. Early morning wake-ups, night & nurse duties, seeing riveting things like the Old & New Parliament House, Telstra Tower etc. However! That all being whinged about, it was a terrific week.

The high-light of the tour had to be the skiing. I have never been skiing before in my life, and the chance to do it FREE was too good to miss. First day was fab, blue skies and a little bit warm in the ski-suit. Second & third day were not as good, with blizzard style weather. My fingers started to go numb under my gloves, but I managed to go down a wicked ass slope a number of times. The hardest part is getting on and off the ski lifts, stacked it so many times and caused other people behind me to do the same :)

I am glad to be back, missed Mark terribly as well as the babies. Still have a full week and a bit of holidays left to enjoy which is never something to complain about. My mum comes to visit us in 10 weeks, should be fun :P

Nothing else to report, hope you are all doing well.

xx
