I did try the AVIsynth route a while back...and it worked ok. I'm just not sure I want to go to all the headaches.
I know that bri uses this method exclusively. She does have some headaches rendering her files though, especially those that are very sfx intensive. Not sure if it's AVIsynth or Prem (or both) creating the problem. I think it might be particularly good for non-DVD files/rips, particularly those downloaded from the net.
I didn't look closely at the content/link that I posted above for AVIsynth but it looks like it might be helpful.
But for now...let me get through this vid and see how it turns out...since I'm ripping from a good quality DVD that was made using good quality film footage....not like the SG DVD wannabes. *grrrrrrrr*
