SG1 Fic Rec: Take These Broken Wings by synecdochic
I don't often take the time to rec anything, much less fanfic, but
synecdochic claims that this story is not a WIP but she sure does a darn good job of leaving her readers hanging by their fingernails and scrabbling for more.
While Cam/clone!Jack may not be your pairing or one that even dawned on you, this story is worth your time. The principal characters are finely drawn, backstories are well-developed, and there is a thoughtful storyline....all the elements that comprise a well written story . While this story is physically pornish to a degree, let's talk emotional porn. This story has it in spades. It sucks you in, wrings you out and keeps you craving more.
I know this is not the most articulate, well-written rec around LJ, but hopefully it is enough to make you go read as it is my homage to synecdochic and her not-story. And given the fact that I don't rec much, this should be enough to make you go read.
