i may or may have not ruined someone's dating career last night.
being the total gossipmonger that i am, it comes as no surprise that i know shit about everyone.
so here the story goes. at like 11.30 my phone rings. its a number i don't recognize. but since my phoen NEVER RINGS i pick it up.

well, i have a really weird question to ask. do you know some guy named xxx?

on myspace. he says he knows you. you're on his top eight. you're number two.
wait hold up. (i look real fast) oh shit yeah i know him. why?
well cause, he messaged me and we just talked on the phone and he was really forward and was like "im coming over and we're watching a movie."
ok so the story goes on. basically he tells me how this dude found him on myspace and sort of freaked him out the way he talked on the phone. i explained that, yes, i know this guy. he's a nice guy, but he annoys the hell out of me. so i don't really hang out with him. you know, i mean he could go ahead and see him, whatever. and he is pretty good looking, but he's obnox au max. anyway, so we're talking and r is like, oh ok well that's cool then. and i'm like, BUT WAIT. and i spill the beans. this dude was actually brought up on felony charges for using the internet to solicit sex from a minor. now, he claims the kid said he was 16, which in some states (not VA, where this occured) is the age of consent and it wasn't until he was AT THE KIDS HOUSE that he found out he was only 14 and the kid's parents came home and he was subsequently arrested. so he had his day in court and was acquitted and all, so it's fine. but during this he was so bold as to ask me if he could move in with me. and i of course was like, hell fucking no. so anyway, r is like, ok. well. that answers my question. i work for the government, i am not trying to get tangled up in anything with this guy. and i said, yeah. he's ok to be casual friends with but as far as anything else, steer clear.
so yeah, you think i ruined this dude's life? whatever. he had it coming for annoying me.
