Ok. My brother is out of surgery. After having half his stomach removed in his surgery last week, the doctors were forced to removed his entire stomach today. I knew my brother has diabetes, but I found out today he has a serious form of hepatitis. I guess when the junk from his gut kept spilling into his body, it caused pretty much all his illnesses to flare up at once. The doctors are seriously concerned about his blood, and though they are a little more optimistic then they were this afternoon, they still say he has a long long road ahead of him before he is okay. I obviously only know a little about the facts, hearing them from second and third persons, but I'm not as panicked as I was earlier. Obviously, his life is going to change forever after this. He'll have to change how he eats and how he lives if he gets out, but at least he's alive.

My brothers and I have a very dark sense of humor. We tend to shock people who aren't prepared for it when we get together. My oldest brother Mike, the recluse I talk to maybe once every other year or so, finally called back after I left him a message telling what's going on. He called me, and I let him know that Bill was in surgery, and would call him when I knew any new info. Once things calmed down and I gave him a ring, I let him know that Bill is out of surgery, but the situation might not be a grave as the doctors prepared us for. Mike started yelling at me on the phone "Damn you. I spent all night ironing my black suit cause of you. I could have used that time working on my bike. Thanks a lot asshole!" Then he hung up on me.. That at least get me some much needed laughs at the end of the day...
