Well, the new A/C went into the living room and is helping keep that room cool. We don't have great air circulation in the house so it's not doing much for the rest of the place. We have a small unit for Muppet's room and hopefully this weekend we'll be able to swing a 3rd unit for the bedroom.

I was hoping to take the kids to the zoo this weekend, but now I'm not sure. There are 3 baby tigers at the DC zoo, but the website says they won't be out in public until August 12. We'll see what the money looks like. I really don't like keeping them in the house all weekend, especially in this weather.

Son has been sick this week too, so that's a consideration. When I called Ex on Sunday about bringing him back, Ex told me Son wasn't feeling well and had been asleep since noon. He offered to wake him up and bring him back, but with him feeling sick I thought it better to leave him. Ex was working from home Monday, so if he wasn't feeling well still it would work better. Monday Son felt no better and stayed with his dad. When I went to get him about 6 he had a fever of 102 (1 hour after taking Tylenol) and his pulse was way too high. So we took him off to Nighttime Pediatrics. Turns out it's just an upper respiratory infection gone wonky. He's on antibiotics and has been staying with my mom to avoid passing this to my little nephews. Tomorrow he'll have been on the meds long enough to not be contagious anymore so he'll go back to my sister's house. Today he took a load of laundry to Grandma's house. Seems the kids decided they didn't need to put their clothes in the basket as they were told, so none of their stuff got washed. With Muppet coming this weekend and Son with me full-time this will not work. So Son gathered up all the clothes and took them with him. I was about 8 when I started doing my own laundry, so I know it won't kill him. He seemed a little run-down this morning, but he moved quick enough when told to fetch the remote so Ray could put on cartoons for him. I think he's feeling better.
