BSG again last night. Reversed the pattern: starting with hopefullness, descending into desperation.

The Pegasus arrives, but it becomes clear that important officers, and some crew, have lost their humanity in the fight to save it: the Admiral is a martinette at best, a psychopath at worst... and she's not the nastiest...

Yet, her ship appears to be far more military in it's culture, more cleanly and efficiently run. Adama clearly has let a combination of his personal loyalties and lack of replacement options sway his judgement.

Perhaps part of it is that Pegasus only had to deal with itself, a military unit. Galactica has had to deal with a fleet of random civilians, and that was a humanising influence.

All in all, good stuff.
