The bad guys' powers as described make absolutely zero sense. It doesn't even make comic-book levels of sense.
The big bad would have made more money if he'd just sold/patented the secret to those pants and sports underwear! I know one potential customer who'd be green with envy. :D
None-the-less it was a fun, action-packed movie with real character development. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
