Political satire at its best. The Chaser's War on Everything gets arrested after gliding past two layers of "security" in a three car cavalcade with Canadian flags.
Two stars of The Chaser's War on Everything have been detained and are being questioned by police for breaching the APEC security zone.
Chas Licciardello and the show's executive producer Julian Morrow were detained late this morning after conducting a fake motorcade through Sydney.
The pair left the ABC building at Ultimo and headed to the Intercontinental Hotel. US President George W Bush is currently staying there.
They've been charged. And bailed.
This shows just how fake our security theatre is. If they'd have meant business, they'd have stopped the unscheduled limosines at the first checkpoint. (The Canadians aren't even in the country yet!)
I've been somewhat unimpressed by The Chasers up 'til now. They now have my full respect for showing how Aussies prick pomposity!
