What's your policy re: long WiPs anyway? Do you start posting as soon as you write, or do you wait until the fic is finished before you unveil it to the world?

I started writing this epic (lol!) fic featuring Edith, but I'm a bit nervous about posting, considering (a) I'm not really in this fandom, and (b) Edith seems to be a particularly polarizing figure for DA fans. I'm committed to finishing it, but maybe it's one of those things I just leave buried on my laptop, lol.

Oh, I'm far too impatient to write an entire WIP before posting, and a lot of times I feel like it helps me continue to have feedback. I think you'll find there's a lot of interest in Edith fic! I know I'd love to read it.

For me, I think I'm much more likely to finish a WiP when there's no pressure to finish, i.e. before I start posting it. But feedback is lovely, and I don't know if you get quite the same level of feedback when a long story is posted all at once. *ponders*

I'm trying to wrap the story up this weekend, and then send it off to my trusty beta to take a look at. If she pans it, posting may have to wait for a bit, lol.

I don't think feedback changes based on whether you've already written it or not--just post a chapter a week as you would if you were writing. No one will know the difference.
