Oh, awwww. I love the end -- even if they SHOULD have kissed, this is a great explanation for why they didn't kiss, and instead just had eye!sex. :)

Too sweet, I loved the whole thing.

Aw, thanks very much! You know, in some ways, I think their not-kiss in 3.9 was almost hotter than the actual kiss in 3.10. Not that the actual kiss wasn't amazing, but there was just such crackling chemistry in 3.9. Sexiest scene I've ever watched, lol. And yet I still wanted them to kiss. Anyway, really glad you liked the drabble. You totally inspired me to try some 2nd person. :)

I agree -- that wide eyed stare Kristen does is pretty adorable, and I think it helped them connect.

Then of course the writers forgot about that when the wrote the first half of the next episode, but whatev.

(How funny is it that I totally didn't even notice the second person? It's so hard for me to write fic in third person that this is just what comes out, and it's not even unusual to me, LOL)

It's funny, because normally I do really have to think about it when I start writing in a different tense, but second just happened on this one. I can see why you like to write it for Gabriel; it really works for him!

Aw, that last line!

The entire story was very sweet. And the look they gave each other in 3.09 was pretty hot, you could feel the sexual tension there.

Like Gabriel, I think I'm a bit hung up on the special thing in fanfic, hehe. Very glad you liked the last line, it's always so tricky to end a fic! Thanks very much for reading and commenting. :)

Thank you very much! I had anticipated this being longer when I was putting it together in my head, but then those lines came to me and I thought, "Oh, there's an end." I'm really glad you think they worked. :)

Oh, yay! I'm so happy you liked this so much. And you always write the best comments. :D

I probably wouldn't have thought to try second person except that I read a really awesome Sylar fic by dragynflies and thought just like you did, that it really works for Sylar/Gabriel's analytical watchmaker mind, sitting back and looking at himself like he's looking at the inner workings of a watch. When I sat down to do this drabble, it immediately started coming to me in second person. I know it's a weirdish tense to read, but I'm so happy you think it worked here! I really want to try it again sometime for an introspective piece. I'm so glad you think the chemistry's still here, too -- I was afraid all the analyzing might get in the way of that!

I'm having fun trying to figure out how Elle will truly forgive him for killing her dad. The episode went a long way towards that, but I do think there's a ways to go. What do you think?I almost think she's having a harder time forgiving herself for what she did to Gabriel with Bennet! It will be ( ... )
