Oh, yay! I'm so happy you liked this so much. And you always write the best comments. :D

I probably wouldn't have thought to try second person except that I read a really awesome Sylar fic by dragynflies and thought just like you did, that it really works for Sylar/Gabriel's analytical watchmaker mind, sitting back and looking at himself like he's looking at the inner workings of a watch. When I sat down to do this drabble, it immediately started coming to me in second person. I know it's a weirdish tense to read, but I'm so happy you think it worked here! I really want to try it again sometime for an introspective piece. I'm so glad you think the chemistry's still here, too -- I was afraid all the analyzing might get in the way of that!

I'm having fun trying to figure out how Elle will truly forgive him for killing her dad. The episode went a long way towards that, but I do think there's a ways to go. What do you think?

I almost think she's having a harder time forgiving herself for what she did to Gabriel with Bennet! It will be interesting to see what happens with Bob; maybe through helping Gabriel pull away from Arthur, she'll detach herself from the unhealthy relationship she had with her own father? Maybe she's fixing herself in a way by helping to fix him?

I have to go get ready to go out of town, but just wanted to say thank you again -- and you're very welcome. Thanks for an awesome prompt!
