MY VACATION GOT APPROVED!!!!!!! :D
I will be entirely free to do WHATEVER I want the week of July 25th to the 31st. And I am going to make sure that I am not alone. There will be sun, there will be SO MUCH READING, and there will be friends and family. I was thinking earlier, it'd be the perfect opportunity to see friends I don't get to much, like Andrea and Lauren, and then Andrea comments saying the same thing! :D (Andrea I hope you're reading this, you amazing beast you!)
I'm gonna start look at places I could go to (these would be day time trips.) :) I'm thinking of spending a day in Providence, but I'm not sure if I have to take the bus or the train. I would probably want to take a friend along too...*coughAndreapleasecomewithmecough* ;)
Laurie apologized to me, saying she's sorry that it's so hard to find a measly week for me to take off. I said it was ok, because obviously this is not her fault. She just makes the schedule; she doesn't ask for her coworkers to be pains in the butt about their hours. I think I'm the only one who is available for slavish hours and doesn't make a fuss about asking for stuff. I am a corporate evil empire's dream. XD
Britt still wants to go see Shrek on Friday, so we are doing that. And getting some Italian food. Next to Portuguese food, there's nothing I like better! :) Kayla and I are on for Boston on June 11th. I don't get to go to Boston much, so I've been looking forward to this for awhile. Kayla is also psyched!
Summer reading is going well. I started the Confessions, but Britt has not, so I'm waiting for her to catch up. I suspect that I may be waiting for awhile. It might be best to just continue reading... Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is going well also. I'm finally halfway through. :) I'd be done already, but for work. Oh, work.
Wasn't so bad today. I wore my Penny Blossom, and who can be mean to the girl behind the counter when she's wearing a Penny Blossom? Well, only one person was. This teenager made to tease me about it (she's a snotty regular of ours), but I just went: "You're just jealous. How can I help you today?" ;)
No one messes with the Penny Blossom, baby.
