I wanted to see Michael Jackson's funeral yesterday. It began at one. I began work at one. You should now see that I missed it. :( I am most likely going to youtube it. Seriously, it's history. One day when I' yelling at kids to get off of my lawn, I will be able to say that when the King of Pop was alive we old folks never stood for such behavior. Or something along those lines.
Today was just work. I worked 9 to a little past 5 at the Evil Empire and then drove home in a very bad rainstorm indeed. I couldn't see more than ten feet past the car! Most of the roads I passed through were already flooded, but thankfully the downpours didn't last very long. I must say, I hope tomorrow is slightly busier than today, so my 9-5 can pass quickly and I can start my three day weekend. I like the money this will be getting, but six days in a row at the EE is just too much in my opinion. I feel like I live there sometimes. Ok. All the time. But I also think that this makes days off seem even sweeter, so there's a silver lining at least.
Today also marks 3 months since the passing of my grandfather. Not that anyone cares besides myself and my family, but when I looked at the calendar this morning and realized the date, the sun came out for just a few minutes. When I got to work, it clouded over again. Take it as you will, but I think it was just a few minutes of bright, courtesy of Pai. That's my feeling on the subject anyway, and those of you who are bored or sick of hearing about it can just skim this and move on.
In other more uplifting news: TEN DAYS UNTIL BILLY JOEL. This is very, very exciting.
ALSO: HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE OPENS NEXT WEEK AND I HAVE THE WHOLE DAY OFF. I can do the grocery shopping during the day, and then come evening when Mom gets out of work, ALL ABOARD THE HOGWARTS EXPRESS!!!!!! This is also very, very exciting.
