What a weekend! Although the weather has been incredibly gloomy, I must say the last few days have been quite nice!
Friday Sam and I were supposed to fly kites, but we got rained out, so we just went to the 99 so we could finally have the sundae we say we're going to have every time but never do. It was very, very delicious, and I was so full it was sick. We had a nice time. :) We went to Burlington after lunch so Sam could get a dress for Danny's party. We also found and were horrified by the world's smallest bathing suit top.
After I dropped Sam off at home, I came home and did some of my usual house stuff: laundry, dishes, cleaning, and the like. Jeremy, Dad and I also cooked dinner before Mom came home. She only came in quickly, because then they all went to visit my Uncle Jack. He's in a rehab center right now to recover from surgery. They removed a ten year old tumor from his head that was the size of an ORANGE. Not that I really like the guy, but I do feel incredibly bad for him. He's all confused; he thinks someone shot him! Hopefully his memory gets back up to speed in the coming weeks. While they were out, I finally went and got myself a haircut. Jeremy stayed home to play video games. I actually cut more than 3 inches off my hair, so it looks nice and short and it feels light, thank God.
Saturday was fine. I worked 9-5:30. It was very, very, very, very busy, but there weren't THAT many douchebags, so I can't really complain. After that, Mom, Dad, and I went down to Mai's house because Paul's family was there. I got to see MJ's adorable little earrings! They're little studs that look like pink flowers. The kids had some bubbles, and I ended up blowing a ton of bubbles with Isaiah, because the others became more interested in their bikes. We both got COVERED in soap, but it was a good time. Isaiah's my little buddy anyway. It's fun making him laugh, especially when he pops a bubble and goes TA DA!!! Dad had to go to Bridgewater to help out at the festa because he's a member of the Holy Ghost Club there. Mom and I came home and she made me some chicken nuggets and tots. I felt like a kid again. Needless to say, it was great!
Today I worked 9-2 and then went to my cousin Anna's anniversary party. She and her husband Tony have been married 25 years. It was the best party I've been to in awhile! My grandma and Aunt Cindy were at our table, as well as my cousins Felicidade and Armando, and my Tia Laudalina (aka SPEAKA!!!), so we had a pretty badass table! The food was very good, and then when they opened the dance floor, things got even better! I got to dance a father/daughter dance with my dad, which was a really nice father's day treat. My grandma cried a little because she misses my grandpa and being around all the family kind of made it a little worse. Despite that, she still had a good time. She also laughed a lot and saw some people she hasn't seen in years. I also danced with Speaka, who is one hell of a dancer for a gal her age. My aunt Cindy and I danced too, and she's pretty good. I did the twist with my mom, Felicidade, and cousin Tony as well. Even Jeremy danced with Speaka!!!!! We all had a really fantastic time.
Dad and Bubba loved their Father's Day gifts, and we all spent a little while at Mai's house together. Now Mom and Dad are sleeping it all off, Jeremy's in his room on the computer, and I'm just watching some tv. Robot Chicken Star Wars is on later tonight, so I'm staying up for that!!!
