Hey Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream

Jun 11, 2009 22:01

I woke up before my alarm today. That very rarely happens, but I suppose it wasn't really a bad thing. I finally finished the Poe Shadow this morning! It was very good, but I believe I prefer The Dante Club. I can't wait to read the new book about Dickens! I wonder if it will feature my beloved author or not?

I was supposed  to work 1-8:30 today, but I ended up leaving a few minutes early, since we were surprisingly not busy. That just doesn't happen on a Thursday, so it was a nice change of pace. I don't mind working Thursdays though, because I get to work all day with Tricia!!! That's always a good time! :)

I started reading Volume 7 of Sandman today. It just keeps getting better. Morpheus, the Lord of Dream, is just one of those once in a lifetime kind of amazing characters that every author wishes their characters could be. Also, he is...well, DREAMY. haha That always helps, no matter what book you're reading! I also received my mail order today. I got the Corpse Bride soundtrack (EXCELLENT. Bravo, Danny Elfman) and Howl's Moving Castle on DVD. It's my favorite Miyazaki film ever!

I don't have a fun fact for today, really, but if anyone does (coughSamorAndreasinceyou'remyonlyallthetimereaderscough), feel free to comment with one!
