Today was a bit better. I worked 1-5. It was uneventful and no one was a tool to me. I'd say that was a decent shift.
Jeremy had his last day of school today. I can't believe he's graduating on Saturday. I can still remember when he was small enough for me to pick him up! I took him to get McDonald's for lunch to celebrate a little. We came home and watched tv together until I had to go to work.
Now I'm just puttering around. I'm probably going to finish watching Return of the Jedi, which I began this morning. I'm also reading The Poe Shadow by Matthew Pearl. It's the same guy who wrote The Dante Club. It's about the mysterious events surrounding Poe's death, and the young lawyer who is attempting to solve the mystery. So far, it's very very good. His other book was excellent too. It's about all of these freaky murders happening in Boston, and each is set up like a scene from Dante's "Inferno." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and their crew (the Fireside Poets) must solve the mystery, so Longfellow can publish his English translation (the first EVER) of the Divine Comedy. It's just badass because Longfellow totally beats someone with his walking stick. FACED. He's also written a new book about Charles Dickens. I can't wait until the paperback edition comes out!!!!
