If we listen to each other's heart, we'll find the melody far apart

MY ALLERGIES ARE KILLING ME. There, I said it. Seriously, I feel like I step outside lately and it's just an open invitation to sneeze my brains out. I really hate pollen with a passion, and of course it's all over my car, I just took an Alavert though, so hopefully that helps. We shall see.

Today we went to a festa in East Providence. The sopas were very good, but I didn't eat much because I only really like the sopa itself (which is just Portuguese bread soaked in broth--very tasty!) with a little extra broth. Well, when I haven't had anything of substance all day, I can get dizzy. I have yet to faint, but I have come very close in the past. I had quite the dizzy spell today, so when we got home I had a piece of chocolate. Seriously, it helps. Professor Lupin is totally right!

After that, we came home and had a bathroom break and then went to Berkley to see my cousin Shawn. He was 21 yesterday, so we went to wish him a happy birthday. Then we went to my grandmother's house to pick up some malassadas that my Tia Gloria made. They are very, very good. Once we finished up there, we went to the cemetery to make our rounds. I kid you not. We have lost enough loved ones/friends to make ROUNDS of the bloody graveyard. Isn't that just peachy? We stopped at Joe and Irene Fonseca's grave, which finally has Joe's name on it, God rest his soul. Then I went to my grandparents' (dad's mom and dad). Their flowers are perhaps too tall for their stone. After that, I went to my Tia Rosa's and then my Uncle Joe's, and then to my grandfather's spot, which is right next to his. His name plaque had not yet been placed in the ground, but there is a lovely red flower at the head of his grave. It was the first time I have been back since Mai and I went back after the funeral when it was pouring out. That's all I have to say on that.

I tried to find my young friend Ruben's grave, but his headstone is not yet up, and I am not even sure what plot he was placed in. I would like to bring him a flower though. I wonder if he is close to any of our other friends. They are all more or less neighbors, so I suppose at least they have some company. We also found my dad's friend's grave, that of Richard Walley. He passed unexpectedly last year. We went to the plot of one of our cousins as well.  We did not get to see my dad's friend's Zach's. We'll definitely have to bring him a flower too.

Now we're home and I'm sneezing. We're all probably just going to watch some tv together. I finished Howl's and now I'm going to be working on the volume of Sandman I picked up the other day. As always, I'm very excited to see what comes next!
