Thom accidentally broke my heart this week by telling me that there was a wizard rock band called . . . (wait for it) . . . Weasleys Tore My Flesh. Sadly, it turned out to be just a joke from Gawker, but I spent about an hour trying to find the band's address so I could send them chocolates and audition tapes before I had to face the truth. Still,the name is beyond genius. Anyone want to start it? I can play around four guitar chords reliably, so I qualify as about half a Ramone. More, if Johnny was particularly high.
I also discovered that the kids have taken to calling wizard rock "wrock", as in, "let's wrock!" I get it and all, but I have to wonder if they meant it to sound quite so much like "wrong".
