This morning there was a huge storm which really sucked because it woke me up around 7:30, but luckily I was able to go back to sleep for a while.
I talked to Owen this earlier today… hes not the smartest person in the morning.
I invited myself over Sami's house today, we swam, watched a movie, I taught her how to play ass hole (card game), and then we swam again.
I just got done talking to Chance, we didn't talk for very long, but she says shes going to meet up with Jake on Saturday… she better kiss him because they were flirting all week.
I finally remember what I did on Sunday we went to the Smithsonian Institutions. It was a challenge type thing-y and we had an hour to look at an exhibit and then present it. In my group was Melissa, Tuna, Jersey, Mariah, and Erin. Our exhibit was about NASA, we did the worst at presenting our exhibit but that’s not the point.
On Monday we were aloud to wear casual clothing… it was relieving. The main thing that happened was the Leadership Challenge (while I was typing that I accidentally put leaderdshit lol). It was at a deaf college. The people there were so nice, they could only talk a little bit so it was really hard to understand what they were saying sometimes. I only learned a few words in sign language though, and they were elephant, circus, and my name, it was awesome.
The first activity that we did was weird. There were these long planks of wood and there were ropes sticking out of them and we had to put our feet on them and walk about 10 yd. Only 10 people could go at a time, and every time we fell off we had to go all the back to the beginning. Some people took breaks and let others try it but I was on the whole time and since there were 18 people I had to go past the finishing point then go back and then pass it again. It took us two hours.
The next thing we did taught us about trusting your team (the first one was about communication). One person was strapped into a harness and connected to a rope while the rest of the team had to pull the rope and life them up into the air. You had to trust your team not to let you drop from thirty feet in the air. That was so much fun, and since I'm small I went flying up really fast.
The activity was easily the best one, but not everyone got to go. I have no idea what it had to do with leadership and working as a team but it was fun as hell. Once again one of us was strapped in a harness, but this time we had to climb up a telephone pole and jump off trying to catch a trapeze. It was hard climbing up the pole because it was so wobbly, but I did it anyway. I didn't make it though, but I was really close the fucking thing.
Later that night NJLC watched Remember the Titans while CSLC had a frickin dance. We were making fun of D.E because he looked like Sunshine, so thats what we called him for the rest of the week.
I'll post the last two days tomorrow
