I'm home and I'm bored. I don't want to be home, Washington was so much fun.
I've already finished unpacking and now I don't have anything to keep my mind off of all the memories. On the way home me and my dad were only in the car for an hour before I said "I already miss my friends, I want to go back!"
We stayed at the Catholic University of America, the campus was huge and I got lost all the time. The first day was pretty boring, I got checked in, unpacked, ate, then went to the opening meeting. For the first day I basically hung out with chance the whole day. The only thing that sucked was that the meeting was business professional so I had to wear dress pants, and a blazer... it was so hot.
Every night we had to be in the dorms by 10 o'clock then the RAs would come and check on us at 10:15 to see if we were all in our rooms, then it was lights out at 10:30. Me and Chance never went to bed until midnight or so.
The boys were lucky though, over at their dorms they didn't have to be in their rooms or anything, they were in the lounges play cards and watching TV until like four in the morning. The could run, scream, and every other dipshitty thing that came into the stupid minds. It wasn't fair they could have fun while all the girls had to be in their rooms.
On the second day I had to wear a skirt and a blouse because it was business casual... it sucked even more. We had a meeting with Miss Valle, then we had to go with our team leaders and have a meeting. In my TL group was Chance, Justine, Jana, Andrew (also known as New Jersey), Andrew (also known as Arkansas), Jesi, Lauren, Me, Jake, Ryan, Matt Jamie, Leah, Erin, Melissa, Alex, Tina (also known as Tuna), and Mariah. The TL meeting was fun, we played this game with a jump rope. We had to each go through it without it touching us, then the second time we had to all go through it without missing a beat. The third time we had to go through it in groups of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 but we only had 18 people, so some of us had to go twice. It took us a long time to go through the rope because it was hard for large groups to go through and then some of us had to run around the room and get back in line to run through again.
After that we had to go back to Miss Valle in Auditorium for 2 and a half hours of guest speakers, it was so hard to sit still. After that we had a half hour to do what we wanted then we had to go back to our breakout room with our TL (Mine was Clay... hes afraid of clowns and we made fun of him the whole week).
Our team had to come up with a name, chant, and a dance move. I came up with the name Clay's Clowns, everyone liked it but we couldn't use it because we didn't have a chant or a move to back it up. Jamie came up with the idea of the perfectly positive penguins (hes kind of dumb) then Jake changed it to the Perfectly pimpin penguins, but then Clay told us we couldn't use that.
For a dance we did the chicken dance and we changed the words for our chant. It went I just want to be a leader, I just want to make a difference, So teach us well. Its dumb but its all we could think of in and hour. At the next meeting with Miss Valle we had to go up and show everyone what we came up with... it was hilarious.
On Sunday we were finally going off campus, and I was allowed to war capris and sneakers, but I still had to war a blouse. We went to the tomb of the unknown soldier at the Arlington Cemetery. We were there for about and hour and 15 minutes, then we went to Union Station for lunch. I don't remember what we did next, but I remember being at some building, and most of us were outside on the stairs. While we were sitting and waiting, locals were out running and riding bikes, and Owen and Tyler would run with them, and try to be as annoying as possible.
After that we went back to the University for dinner then we went to see the monuments lit up a night, that was really cool. At the Roosevelt memorial, there was the statue of him siting in a chair, and me and chance sat on his legs while Jake took a picture, then Matt walked over and started giving him a lap dance.
After we went through all the memorials and monuments, we headed back around 10:00 and we were at a red light so all of us scurried to the left side of the bus to watch some guy get arrested, he was pushed up against the car and everything, we had a good time making fun of him.
I'm tired so I'll post the rest tomorrow
