Halloween
Everywhere I look I'm reminded that something I dread is coming up... Halloween.
I remember one halloween I worked in a haunted house. I ended up getting mooned by a guy wearing a werewolf mask, ewwww. Then another halloween I went with my sister to a haunted house. I ended up getting hit by one of the actors in a region that, had I been a guy, I would've prolly been keeled over in pain and speaking an octave or two higher.
I hate all things scary. I remember watching a show about roller coasters and such where they talked about fear. They said that some people just love being frightened, it's a thrill to them. Then there's people like me who absolutely hate it. I hate scary movies, haunted houses, etc... All they do is make me want to turn all the lights in the house.
But here's the funny part, I have 1 exception to the rule: vampires. I used to love books and movies about vampires. I wrote a short story about them. I even used to use vampiress as a username for things like IRC. I don't understand why everything else scares me to death except vampires.
The one thing I do love about halloween is passing out the candy. All the kids dressed up are so cute to see.
So I won't be boycotting halloween anytime soon, but I'll be glad when this month is over.
