The fine china has been taken out for a thorough cleaning, as well as the crystal dinnerware. I do wish I could use my very best silver flatware, but this occasion does not call for it.
Ingredients have been ordered for the main course and the dessert, and I am going to purchase several high-quality bottles of cognac, wine, and other liquors later in the week.
So far there are six guests that are definitely attending. I await two more. This dinner will surely be a success.
