(no subject)
I have neglected this journal for many months, and I do not know why I am picking it up again now. I do not have any news to report or any feelings to share, and if I did I would choose not to share it with the general public.
I suppose I write now only to organize the dinner party I am planning in honour of the staff at Hogwarts. Invitations were sent out this morning and I truly hope all those invited decide to attend. I am planning a pleasant evening of good food and conversation. Where would our world be if not for the fine educators at the school that are teaching our children valuable lessons? As an alumna I feel very close to the school and hope that this term will go just as smoothly as previous years.

I know you are not a professor or assistant at the school, nor are you a student there anymore, but I would really love to have you at the dinner party. It is Saturday, 30 September. It would mean very much to me if you were there. Your friend housemate Granger will be there as well, and I'm sure she would enjoy your company even though she's a filthy Mudblood. You do not have to stay the night if you don't wish it to be so, but that would be an added bonus for me if you did so decide.
Please inform me of your intentions as soon as you can.
