So now the man at county says if the pupil has a legitimate educational reason for catching the late bus then they can be put on the database and won't have to pay.
However, it's not something they want to promote as they are concerned that those not entitled to use the service would take advantage of it....
My local District councilor called back and is going to be looking into matters too. Which is more than the County Councilor did when I left him a message a few weeks ago.
Maybe, just maybe, someone is starting to see sense, or maybe it's just to shut me up!
