To make a long story short I had felt increased pressure in my lower back this afternoon and several squirts of what I believed to be amniotic fluid... so we went to the hospital. I am currently 36 weeks and 3 days, and the waters leaking now would actually be a bad thing ( Read more... )

Oh my! Poor thing!
We'll be keeping you and your family in our prayers.
Raikanna was born 6 weeks before her due date, weighed under 6 pounds, but with lots of prayer, she was/is fine! But it can be scary!

Thank you for the prayers! If it happens again my husband and I agreed that we're staying home where I'm more relaxed until we're sure that the baby is really coming. ^_^ Walking didn't do anything except exhaust what energy I had left over (after church and socializing).

Oh my goodness! I'm glad that they were able to stop the contractions!!! Hopefully this will be the last of it for a week, but how far did you dilate? And I wonder what the fluid was? Hard to think it would be urine? Oh well, I'm just glad that you're back at home and able to take it easy. Hopefully JD knows that he has to let mommy rest!! Take care of yourself!!

I'm glad that stopping the contractions let me rest sooner than waiting for them to go away on their own. ^_^ My cervix went from closed to 1cm after 6 hours of contractions and 3 hours of walking. We're not sure what the fluid was... it was clear and odorless? I bled as well. It's good to be home and JD was with friends overnight but I cried when I went in his room and saw the empty crib. ;_;

The contractions were 4 minutes apart and lasted 60-80 seconds but they didn't really instensify and my cervix didn't progress. >_< If this happens again I'm just going to stay home and take Tylenol PM to get some sleep. Ironically, I didn't have anything like this when I was pregnant with JD but then again he was my first.

Oh my goodness! I can't believe your contractions were so regular! What is it with these second babies being so anxious to meet the world? I would cry too if I came home and my baby girl wasn't here. It's hard to be home without her, it's lonely =(
I'm thankful that you're doing well, and hope that Joshua will hold his little horses and stay cozy in there for a while!!! My thoughts are with you...

I know! It really was confusing and is probably why I was kept at the hospital for observation. o_O Yeah, I was so happy when JD was brought home yesterday afternoon. If felt good to cuddle him! Hopefully Joshua will hold out long enough for me to finish sewing some all-in-one diapers. ^_~

WOAH, OK honey, put your feet up and don't push it! Keep li'l pooter in the oven where he belongs and tell the dust bunnies to do the dishes for you.

I hope & pray everything works out!

I'm trying to rest but I can't help feeling like there is so much to do! My poor husband is doing as much as he can to help but the sink is still full of dirty dishes. -_- Bah!

I do too. Thank you!
