Mom's surgery

I am sitting in my mom's hospital room right now, and the surgery went well. It took three hours, when it was scheduled for an hour and a half, so we were starting to get really nervous that he saw something and had to open her up (this was laparascopic), but it was because of scar tissue (from her hysterectomy and pancreatitis surgery 11 years ago). He said he did not see anything to be concerned about while in there, and the samples (lymph nodes and fatty tissue) he took will be tested. He also said that she should need chemo, but "we will see how much." Before this, he had said 18 weeks would be the protocol, but now it sounds like it might be less? Still not sure, but it sounds like pretty good news. :)
