I've spent like 3 hours at the hairdresser today oh yeah, and let me tell you how much I like to relax and be taken care of by someone who's known me for 5 years and knows exactly what I want even before I speak it out loud. I think it must be some kind of love *giggles*
I am not liking this 80's fashion revival. I can't believe they're bringing the high waist pants back again >_<
When I was a teenager in the 80's (wearing possibly the one pair of low-waisted jeans available in town at the time, of course) I didn't really want to like Duran Duran, but I totally loathed the Spandau Ballet and that automatically made me a Duran fan for my Duran-obsessed girl friends. Most of my friends at school were all crazy for them, and I used to write small pieces of silly imaginary things for them featuring the Duran Duran themselves. Like, the band was on a tv show the night before, so every girl in class would squee all day long about it, and I would write sort of little backstories, say about what the boys were really thinking while they were interviewed, or about the boys before or after the show etc, and my friends would drool and laugh over them all the time. I guess it was unconscious fanfic writing in bloom, heh. I wish I still had those tiny fragments of stories, it would make for a good nostalgic laugh, but I used to write them on my friends' school diaries, mostly. Too bad I've changed city twice in the meantime, years have passed and we've lost contact like it unfortunately happens especially when you're that young. But the memories are fun.
Oh, and my favorite Duran boy was Andy Taylor, anyway. None of my friends seemed to even notice him, but I thought he was way cuter than anyone else in the band. Besides, he played guitar ;)
