I hope the doc can get your meds straight. I know there are pros and cons to being on them and whatnot - but I know how much you love your girls, and if you're not feeling the love then there's something really wrong.

Chronic pain can do horrible thing to emotional balance. This isn't madness, but this is something that needs dealing with. Sometimes it requires finding an insurance ombudsman, sometimes it requires contacting drug companies and explaining the situation to get on their subsidized meds waiting list, sometimes it takes a doctor's staff going to bat (my clinic's nurses are great at insurance), but the problem is that all that can take more time and energy than someone with chronic pain has.
I think sometimes the insurance companies depend on that, and hope folks just give up.
