Every cowboy, sings a sad, sad song.

Midterms today! I can hear you all cheering. I'll bet you're almost as excited as I am.

I didn't do too bad, surprisingly. My English and French (or, as I like to call them, Frenglish) marks were a lot better than I thought they would be. 70 in English, and 72 in French. Yeah, I know - compared to the rest of society, and even compared to my past marks, they aren't exactly stellar. But considering I don't really do my work in French (nor attend it, most of the time), and I didn't do my Seminar or several other, smaller assignments in English, I'm happy.

I have an 89 in History, though. So put that in your pipe and smoke it. I sure did.

We had a sub for French again today. Strange, strange lady. She's rather controlling, that one, and was trying to get Megan, Rob and I to do actual French work, when she comes over to us and says to me,

Teacher: Why aren't you doing your work?                                                 Me: Because I'm already finished reading the book, and doing the lexique. I have a while to do it, and can do it later.                                                Teacher: But if you do it now, it saves you from doing homework later.       Me: But I don't do homework anyway.

So, the relationship she and I had forged on Monday before I snuck out of the class was effectively destroyed. She's there again tomorrow, so we're not even bothering going. And by we I mean almost the entire French class.

I have been slowly decorating my Christmas tree over the past few days. I'm hoping my family will catch on to what I'm doing, and join me for the actual decorations (the lights and garland-type stuff already being up), but I don't know if they will. I stuck my white porcelain Elvis head on the top of the tree, to try to inspire some Christmas spirit, but the effect seems to be minimal. I mostly only get puzzled looks and a few raised eyebrows.
