There is no mom news as I'm a terrible daughter and forgot to call on Easter and repeatedly since then.

We drove down to Indiana for Easter. We saw Jebra's parents and his brother, his brother's wife, and one of their children. Seeing his brother & that part of the family was the best part of the weekend. Watching his parents age and witnessing their inability to form newer memories is extremely upsetting. The only thing that exceeded that was the several hours of televised political commentary Sunday morning. After two hours I had to retreat to the guest room and bury myself in fanfic. It wasn't that commentators where saying things I disagreed with, it's that the entire political atmosphere is toxic. And I can't do a damn thing about it.

When we got home I was horrified to discover that none of the six automatic feeders opened and the poor cat had therefore not been fed for a day and a half. I have no idea why they failed to open especially since half of them opened randomly afterwards. Bad or partially charged batteries maybe?

When we got back to the office on Monday our attack goose wasn't guarding the front door and the nest was empty except for some broken eggs. We think a coyote got them and I'm sad about it. I was looking forward to seeing the tiny dinosaurs leave the nest.

Last night was Guild and educational. We had a presentation about Ravelry and the non-obvious things you can do with it. I used Ravelry a lot but there were filters I didn't know about and things about the Library I didn't know.
