First of all, the mom news. She was doing great when we last spoke (I should call her again sometime today). She's decided she loves where she's living, is going to move to a bigger room because she "wants to be the Queen Bee," and is going to have her house put on the market. My sister KC is coming up from the Carolinas to help get the house ready for sale and I'm crossing my fingers I can meet up with the family then. There are a few things I'd like to snag from the house if I have the opportunity and my mom doesn't want them with her at the new place.
In yard news, twelve year old boys can be amazing workers. I hired one for two and a half hours of weeding and he did a ton of work and now the weeds growing between the driveway and house are gone. Those have been bugging me for a long, long time and now they're *gone!* With some degree of luck Jebra and I will be able to put in a couple more hours after work today.
On Friday I joined the Cranky Women on Zoom and was glad I did as it was great seeing everyone and there won't be on this week due to the annual gathering up in the UP.
On Sunday I ran Stitch & Bitch and worked on a child's bonnet. I planned to finish it last night during the Minneapolis Zoom, but it turned out our host had canceled the session because it's summer. I was already in the house and on the couch when I found out, so I fired up an episode of Perry Mason and got out my needles. The hat is now complete.
