Project 52

When I wasn't at work, I spent the week knitting. I am making progress and have become disgruntled because my kit did not contain enough yarn of each color to make a symmetrical pattern. Oh well, it will still keep its recipient cozy and comfortable.

I called mom yesterday and she's doing well. Her missing hearing aide (which she doesn't believe she actually needs) is still missing and even more upsetting is that her daughter-in-law is insisting she needs one and must spend another $400 to replace the missing one.

My meth-addicted nephew, the one who is being prosecuted for driving without a license (and maybe breaking-and-entering) has been on my mind. I'm usually very good at ferreting out what's going on through the web, but the county's website has me stymied. I can find hearing dates and times but it seems they aren't zooming the hearings and the information given doesn't tell me enough to know what the heck is going on. Telling me a case is closed doesn't mean much when I don't know if it was closed because he was found guilty or because he's innocent or because his lawyer did some magic and had the case combined with something else. I shouldn't ask my mom as thinking about him just upsets her; I don't have my brother's phone number and I think talking with him would just upset me (he's a hot-head and often irrational).
