Saturday's Ingress was frustrating. I have never seen such a poorly run First Saturday and am inclined to write off all future Muncie events. After an hour of recharging portals and seeing no mention of the puzzle, I asked about it in the chat. We eventually got the information but the only people who worked to solve it were those of us in the SE Michigan crew. As the puzzle involves identifying portals and providing their coordinates this was not exactly easy for us and took several hours of time I hadn't expected to spend on Ingress.

After Ingress it was time to join our friends in the Gluttony Society on Zoom. I enjoyed that a heck of a lot more.

On Sunday we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. Jebra got out the crock pot and made a wonderful beef stew. Sunday was also Stitch & Bitch and laundry and, for variety, transforming an old set of sheets into strips of fabric for making more cat beds. Not that I spent more than a half hour working on making cat beds this week. Instead I finished knitting the hat shown on today's page. And started knitting a lap blanket to donate to my guild.

Speaking of the guild, we had the November meeting last night. I handed over the four most recent hats and came away with a large bag of yarn from the free table plus two new-to-me t-shirts with the guild's logo. I'm delighted as until now I've never had clothing with the logo and I had already decided that it is time to cut up two of my Elkhart Jazz Festival shirts due to them being completely worn-out.

In mom news, she's bored out of her mind and her children have forbidden her from going anywhere. I know it is for her own good but I know she finds being stuck in the house oppressive.

In Jebra's folks news, they should be leaving for their winter home this weekend. If we're lucky, we will be able to intercept them on their way south at least long enough to say hi and maybe share a meal.
