I don't like mornings like this when I am wide awake by 7 and am wide awake. Why?? Because I have to work tonight. So, I will get going with my day, be busy, and not nap. THEN, I will venture off to work and be up until 8 or 9 tomorrow morning. If I sleep in a bit, then it wouldn't be so bad.

That sure makes for a loooong day! My mother-in-law is a nurse who works overnight shifts. She keeps regular hours (sleep at night, awake during the day) and then works a bunch of nights and her schedule gets turned around. I think that might make me go a little crazy! :) Hope you fit a nap in.

yeah, thanks. That is what I hate about nights. I think it makes it 10 times harder being pregnant, AND wanting to spend some time with the kids. I am not looking forward to when the baby is born and I have to return to work if I can't get off this night shift!

Are you going to be able to take some time off before you go back to work? I took two months off when Emmy was born and then worked part time for a little while before returning to full time. Two months was not enough. :(

We'll see. My husband is working VERY part time right now to stay home with the kids and short term disability will only cover when I HAVE to be out. SOOO...
But, we have just started a new business at home and it depends on how well things are going with it. If we can make things work before I have to go back to work. It isn't enough to replace my income, yet, but hopefully by then it will be enough to at least help us out more to where I can take a little extra time off.

Very cool. My husband is a full-time stay-at-home dad! He's working on his bachelor's degree when Emmy lets him. He would like to work, but we live far from town and it just isn't feasible right now. (It takes about 45 minutes to get downtown from our house.)

Have you already picked out names for the new addition? :) You must be so excited!

That's so funny! My husband stays home and not me because *I* go to school and it was so much easier to have him accessible to the kids at all times for when I am needing to get up to East Grand Forks for school (all of my classes are online, except when I have to go up there for my clinicals).

I am very excited, nervous, anxious, scared! haha We have picked a name out, but I haven't shared it on LJ yet :) I am not sure WHY. I suppose I should make a post. We have Ashleigh, Bennett, Caiden (ABC's), but we went against the grain with this one and I can tell you.. it's not a D name!!! :)
My mother is utterly disappointed on that one. But, she's another story.....

It takes me 15 minutes to get downtown and I live in town! :) OK, maybe not THAT long, but still. I sometimes think it would be great to live out in the country, but I don't know if I could manage being so fa away, at the same time.

ABC...that's cute. Maybe the next three should be XYZ! Z's brother's kids all have K names: Kevin III, Kiana, Kaleb, Karsten, Krystiana.

Yeah, my drive is really nice in the summertime. I work on the north side, so I don't have to go into town. Takes me about 45 minutes to get from my door to the door of my office, which is mostly because of a 10 minute walk from the parking lot. Ha. Gotta love all the construction projects!

I'm not a country girl, but I do see the appeal of it -- the space, the clean air, the distance from neighbors. But I would rather have the convenience, especially now that we have a little one. My husband is a true country boy, though!

Oh, I don't know if I could do the "country" life, but living in the country is appealing!

And, uhhh. the next 3??!! :) Your little girl is about the age of my Caiden, isn't she? Caiden is 18 months.

Emmy is 16 months. Pretty close! :) Since she's my first and only, it is very exciting for me watching her learn and grow. Wow. I was never a kid person before I had her. :)

It doesn't matter how many you have, it is always exciting watching them grow! I've always loved kids.

I figured that was probably the case. But sometimes I catch myself getting excited about strange things and wonder if it's just because it's new to me. "LOOK AT THAT. SHE SCRATCHED A MOSQUITO BITE. SHE FIGURED OUT HOW TO SCRATCH A MOSQUITO BITE!!!!" Then: "Oh, wait, honey, don't scratch that. Let mama put something on you so it isn't itchy."

HAHA. Ok, I don't know if I got excited over any of them scratching a mosquito bite ;)

Actually, yesterday, I was pretty excited when Caiden figured out the concept of taking turns... at least for the moment. He stepped back, let Bennett take his turn and then knew to come back as soon as Bennett was done.

It really is fun to see the changes as they go, and then to get sad because they are growing up. I still tell people how I cried when Ashleigh got her first tooth because I would never see my girl without teeth again! haha

Awwww! Emmy didn't get her first tooth until she was 9 months old. I was overjoyed. I don't know why!!! Ha ha.

Emmy hasn't figured out about taking turns. Whatever you have? THAT is what she wants. Uh-huh. :P

yes! Well, you did see the "at least for the moment" part?? :) Actually, Caiden has been trying to catch up to Bennett since birth. This boy started walking at 8 months old!

He only had 2 teeth until about 13 months. Now he is teething like crazy and it is hurting him so much!! Poor kid.

Yeah, silly things we worry about, cry about, are overjoyed about...
